Nancy Wood, Find the meaning in her bubbles

Making pigments interact to create compositions of bubbly lacy paint effects has bern my obsession for many years. Using acrylic paint or epoxy resin I strive to create art from chemistry. The organic shapes made from naturally occurring paint effects fascinate the viewer for their sense of movement like microcosms of evolving nature.

Each acrylic work involves a process of paint, macro photography and then paint once more. The artworks are presented on stretched and float framed heavy silk that is finally painted in traditional painting techniques to create large works taking around 3 months to produce. Exoxy resin works are on composite aluminium and float framed.
