Glowing Fall of the Zinnias

NANCY STAUB LAUGHLIN

My pastel drawings emerge from my self- photographed unique assemblages or "simulated still life's". These photographs are an important part of the process and are a separate recognized body of work, but most recently have incorporated the photograph into the drawing as one. I am fascinated with shadow, light, glow and glitter only to juxtapose these elements to the seasonal landscapes. I have a BFA from Moore College of Art and have been drawing ever since. I exhibited at Noho Gallery in NYC; Johnson and Johnson, Prudential, Bristol/Myers Squibb, New Jersey State Museum; Six New Jersey Masters at Kean University to name a few. I was also honored by the Secretary of State of New Jersey with an exhibit at the State House; I have received critical acclaim and am represented in museums and many private and public collections. I have been honored to be reviewed by Sam Hunter, art historian, Ingrid Fox, former curator at Pfizer and the New York Times. My next exhibit is at the Noyes Museum of Art, New Jersey 2014. - See more at: http://www.artspecifier.com/mod/artgallery/artist.php?artist=693#sthash.HWBkmm1O.dpuf
