Paul Ian Hamilton, His goal is to engage the viewer

Cities are the largest expression of diversity, creativity and excitement on the planet. Layers of Human history are revealed through ancient and modern buildings, roads and bridges. This fires my imagination. As a young artist, I lived in London, Amsterdam and Paris, where I marveled at the old buildings with their unique decorative features, boats on canals and rivers and the bustling city markets. This later translated into my unique artistic style. I always include people in my paintings, for to not do so would render them dead and lifeless. My artistic goal is to engage the viewer, and imbue in him or her a sense of curiosity and wonder
