The Emerald Art Center announces their 11th annual Emerald Spring Exhibition 2016, a fine art painting competition with $5,000 plus in Cash Awards. Best of Show $1,500; Gold Medal $1,000; Silver Medal $700; Bronze $500 and others to be announced.

This exhibition was conceived to recognize and reward excellence in fine art from all over the United States.

This year's Juror is Barbara Jaenicke, www.dailypaintworks.com  who will select up to 70 finalists for the exhibition.  The judge will select winners of cash prizes from the finalists once they are installed. The exhibition will include approximately 70 pieces of art and will be on exhibit May 3 thru June 3, 2016 in the gallery and mezzanine of The Emerald Art Center in Springfield, Oregon.

The Savage Arts Council is committed to organizing and promoting artistic projects and events and providing regional leadership in the arts. We are pleased to present the sixth annual Scott County Art Crawl on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 10AM- 4PM. The Crawl is in Savage, MN, with more than 30 indoor artist booths displaying and selling original paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass art and much more. This is an INDOOR show with easy access at nominal cost with a post show wine reception included. There is no jury fee. This is a great time to begin marketing for holiday buying.  If you have an artist studio within Scott County and you want to exhibit there we will be happy to add your studio to Crawl print materials if you apply by the June 1st deadline.

Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is conducting an open entry competition to select six sculptures ─ valued at no more than $25,000 each ─ to be part of Northglenn’s “Art on Parade” on-loan sculpture program.  The selected pieces will be installed for a period of one year at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park surrounding Webster Lake in Northglenn, Colorado.

Each of the six finalists will receive a $750 honorarium to help offset their expenses. In addition, $1,000 will be awarded to the artist who is the recipient of the annual “People’s Choice Award.” Artists will receive substantial recognition and opportunity to sell; therefore, all pieces must be for sale.  The placement of selected pieces will begin in late May, 2016 and will be on display until May, 2017.

Every selected artist is promoted in our national direct mail catalog and website for national exposure.  Proceeds from the sale of these fine art cards help people with physical disabilities advance their lives and foster independence through the services of Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute.

The first Courage Kenny Card, sent in 1958, was a two-color pencil drawing. Today, some of the most talented artists across the country have had their artwork featured on a Courage Kenny Card.  Artists of all abilities, including artists with a disability, are invited to submit art entries to the Courage Kenny Cards Art Search. The 2016 North Carolina Statewide Pastel Juried Exhibition, On Common Ground; from the Mountains to the Sea,  is the fifth annual collaboration of three pastel societies based in NC: the Appalachian Pastel Society (APS), the Pastel Society of North Carolina (PSNC) and Piedmont Pastel Society (PPS). Our mission is to inspire artists, to enhance the public’s appreciation for the lasting value and beauty of the medium of soft pastels, and to establish North Carolina as an emerging cultural market. This year’s juror is Elizabeth Mowry, Master Pastelist in the Pastel Society of America, and a Distinguished Pastelist in the Pastel Society of the West Coast.

Sculpture Walk Peoria is currently accepting outdoor sculpture exhibition submissions for 2016.

Sculpture Walk Peoria is an annual, juried, outdoor exhibit offering local, regional, national and international sculptors opportunities to showcase and sell their creations, while enhancing the cultural environment of Peoria and providing opportunities to educate the public. The 2015 Sculpture Walk Peoria had a goal of launching with 10 sculptures and our successful fundraising supported 15 sculptures for this inaugural sculpture walk. Our goal for 2016 Sculpture Walk Peoria is for 20 sculptures to be installed by June 4, 2016.

Artist's honorarium is $1,500 plus mileage up to $250, plus two hotel room nights, plus events with donors, artists the public and local leaders. One “People's Choice” award of $2,500.

All sculptures are to be for sale. As of November 9, 2015, we have sold 2 sculptures from 2015 Sculpture Walk Peoria and we anticipate additional sales.

The award is made possible by a generous gift from the painter Yvonne Twining Humber (1907-2004), who established the grant through Artist Trust (AT) to recognize women artists who oftentimes must interrupt or postpone art-making in order to answer the demands of family life.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute invites artists with disabilities to submit artwork to the Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale.  Artists with a disability causing physical or mental impairment of one or more major life activities are eligible.  

The annual art show and sale, celebrating its 53rd year in 2017, is free and open to the public during its three week exhibit in May and is enjoyed by more than 1,500 guests annually. The show has grown from a forum for people with disabilities to sell their work to a major showcase of fine art. The artwork is representative of those we serve – featuring artists who face physical and mental health challenges.

An Opening Reception will be held at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute - Golden Valley, Minnesota.  The Art Show & Sale will run in the spring of 2017.

The Shoreline Arts Festival gathers oer 8,000 attendees for a summer celebration of the arts and local artists. The two-day event is a long-established tradition in this suburban Seattle community.

Give us your best mug, cup or tea bowl!  River Oaks Square Arts Center is looking for a few good cups to include in its'  2nd Annual Dirty South Cup Call and Compeition.   We are looking for ceramic vessels (mugs, cups, tea bowls)  that encompass exemplary creativity, experimentation and imagination, showcasing what can be accomplished with ceramics.   Up to 125 artists will be chosen for this inspiring Southern event, because we all need a good mug for our tea and coffee and if not, we always need a good conversation piece!

The 2016 River Oaks Cup Call & Competition  is a national, juried exhibition. Up to 125 artists will be chosen to display traditional or non-traditional, functional or non-functional ceramic mugs/cups/tea bowls at River Oaks Square Arts Center, Alexandria, Louisiana, a contemporary visual arts and fine crafts center (1984).

Guest Juror:
Kristen Kieffer is a full-time studio potter, workshop presenter, and ceramics instructor in Massachusetts. She received her BFA from the N.Y.S.C.C. at Alfred University and MFA from Ohio University. Kristen has work in numerous public and private collections, has exhibited her work internationally in juried and invitational exhibitions, as well as taught workshops around the country at craft centers and universities. 

CALL/COMPETITION Awards:
First Prize $500.
Juror’s Choice: 4 awards, $125 each.

"Exhibiting Artist" designation: In addition to the monetary award winners, the top 20 artists will be considered for spots as “exhibiting artists” in future invitational shows hosted by ROSAC.
