I have been a professional artist for 20 years, studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and various venues throughout my career. I work in oils, primarily, but use acrylic, watercolor, pen, and pastel where it suits me.
I have exhibited in art licensing shows in Milan, at New York, South Carolina, and Atlanta. Many of those pieces have been seen on TV shows, such as Happy!, Mike and Molly, Weeds, Desperate Housewives, and Prison Break.
My large-scale art can be seen around New England, at Susse Chalet, Freeport Tavern, Boston Winery, and some boutique inns on Cape Cod and in Maine. I have worked with the architecture and interior design industry for many commercial and residential projects.
I love to play with light and shadow. I usually build layers of paint until the subject becomes dimensional, touchable, and I feel like I can taste the color. I want the viewer to experience the first impression, then look around to see the detail, with an eye toward fun.
