Andrea always knew, even as a child, that she would do something creative with her life. She studied at New York University, majoring in Fine Art with minors in Art History and Printing Management and Technology. After College, she earned her Masters Degree from Pratt Institute in Graphic Design and Packaging.
Andrea is a graphic designer, jewelry designer, and fine artist. She has taught art, design and advertising courses in various colleges. She has worked for Peter Max as an art director and is a partner and creative director at a firm which she co-founded. She also owns Andrea LoPresti Fine Jewelry, where she produces artisan custom heirloom quality jewelry. She uses her talents for good causes, donating and sharing her jewelry, art, and design services to charitable causes. Some of these include Medical Mission International, Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, North Shore Women’s Club, Team Saij for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Sgt. Pepper’s Friends Animal Rescue, and SHARE, a self-help organization for women with breast and ovarian cancers. This earned her the honor of being named one of the “Women Who Really Rock” in Entertainment Weekly Magazine.
These paintings bring together my love of design, painting, and bringing happiness to other people. The typographically strong layouts are appealing both as visual communications and as striking, colorful watercolors and mixed media. The imagery is inspired by Italian culture and design elements.
Andrea lives in New York and continues working as a designer and painter.
