Artist and Jewelry Designer Joanie Landau was born and raised in New York. Early in her artistic career, she became fascinated with collagraphs, a rather obscure form of printmaking. Her 15th anniversary collection now includes Digital Collagraphs, where photographic elements merge with graphic design techniques. Like printmaking, the process possesses magical qualities.
Joanie Landau studied printmaking at the Silvermine School of Art, where she won both the “Rembrandt Award for Excellence in Graphic Art,” and the “First Prize Mixed Media” Awards. Her studio has been featured in East Coast Home and her art was featured in Fairfield Magazine. In one year's time she has exhibited in 20 shows across the country and most recently received the Award of Merit from the the Cooperstown Art Association. She is a proud member of the Loft Artists Association in Stamford, Ct. and is an in house artist at White Birch Studio in Westport, CT.
