Tamara Gonda

Pepperell, Massachusetts

Color,  I  feel like I work in three arenas Abstract painting is my home I work in cold wax and encaustics.  I completely lose my self when I paint in wax.  I love the feel the color, the texture.  When I paint in the wax medium I have. no idea where the painting will go and morph into.  I love that drive and energy that my abstracts bring.

The next painting room is the complete opposite of my abstract works in the realm of large watercolor landscapes.    I was introduced to watercolors shortly after my first kid went off to college someone asks me to go to a class with them.  I was hooked right away.  What I enjoy is the chaos of the water flow.  The idea of having some control of the water and having some by chance. And working within the control and no control confines. The idea of landscapes also intrigues me after years f being an abstract painter.  It's painting between the lines with chaos.   I've expanded watercolors into large pieces by painting on boards and creating diptychs and triptychs.

The next platform are what I loving call my Lyrical abstracts.   They are my new contemporary idea of Impressionist paintings. Driving by color. these are all acrylic paintings.
