“Why don’t you make it larger?” Isabelle Le Minh
Isabelle Le Minh is a French artist born in Germany in 1965. She graduated from the Ismra-Ensi Caen and from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d’Arles.
Isabelle Le Minh is interested in the history of photography and art, and with the relationship that artists today have with artists who preceded them. Her work encourages us to reflect on our shared culture, specifically how we respond to images.
In her installation Listing Installation Isabelle Le Minh attempts the inventory and classification of more or less famous artworks through a device — a printer spitting out mountains of paper over which a neon light looms — which seems to be enigmatically mocking itself.
