As a child I was exposed to art and art making by my family, and as I grew older I naturally gravitated towards the arts, choosing to study photography and earning several college degrees in art, ending with obtaining my MFA degree in Fine Art Photography from Florida State University in 1980. From then until 1990 I taught art at the University level in Florida and Maryland and during that time participated in over fifty national competitive and invitational exhibits. I was also awarded two Artist Fellowships from the State of Florida and had work included in the permanent collections of the State of Florida and the Mesa Arts Center.
From 1990 until 2013 I owned and operated Source Photographic Group, but in mid 2013 chose to return to my roots, Fine Art. My current work involves taking common objects from their native context and visually enhancing them by studio photography, sometimes including digital manipulation.
