Martin Mugar, Has a unique approach to pastels



MARTIN MUGAR received his BA cum laude from Yale College in 1971 and his MFA from Yale University in 1974. He travelled in Europe in 1971-72 on the John Courtney Murray travelling fellowship from Yale. His teaching career began at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where he was an assistant professor. He subsequently taught at the University of New Hampshire, Dartmouth College and the Art Institute of Boston.

His work has been exhibited in Boston in solo shows at the Creiger Dane Gallery, The Bromfield Gallery and the MIT Museum. He has had two solo shows at the Bowery Gallery in New York City.
