Tips on collecting art

Collecting art is a very personal experience for everyone. The central core of becoming passionate about art and collecting is to locate, follow and study artists who “speak to you” in meaningful ways.

At ArtSpecifier our mission is to help art lovers discover, learn about, and collect art. We offer webinars, write articles, and conduct interviews that demystify the collecting process for you, making it fun! Many of our novice collectors become very passionate collectors!

Our art experts and curators are available to consult with you as you begin, or continue, the exciting journey of researching artists, learning more about art, and collecting art.

You can create a “favorite” or design board to collect art and artists you are interested in for future reference. You may email these to designers, architects and friends.

Why do I need to create an account to contact an artist, to create a “favorite” album or to participate in certain programs? Is there a fee to create an account?

No, there are no fees to register for most programs or create login information.

A special feature of ArtSpecifier is that you are able to email many of our artists directly. To do so we must collect your email address and other information so as to connect you with the artist.

To collect and save your personal  “favorite” (an album or design board of art) artists and artwork you will need to enter your contact information and create a password so as to be able to login and retrieve your “favorites” at any time.
