Julie Davidow is an contemporary artist in Miami, FL. Her practice includes minimal, geometric paintings on canvas, graphite drawings on paper, wall murals, and site-specific installations which reference science and architecture. Exhibitions include the NMWA in Washington, DC; Perez Art Museum Miami; Museum of Art Ft Lauderdale; Girl's Club Ft Lauderdale; Tampa Museum of Art; SECCA, Winston-Salem, NC; ArtSpace Raleigh, NC; and numerous galleries nationwide. She is recipient of ARTslant’s 2009 First Prize Golden Frame Award, a Chestler Contemporary Visual Arts Award, and Florida Artist Enhancement Award. Her work has been featured in New American Paintings Vol. 52 and 76, Art Papers, Art Districts, The Miami Herald and elsewhere and is included in the permanent collections of the Perez Art Museum Miami, Girl’s Club Ft Lauderdale, FL; EPIC Residence Hotel, Miami; and individual collectors. She received her BA in Communications from UNF Jacksonville in 1987 and studied painting at NWSA in Miami from 1996-1999.
