I am an abstract painter and fabric designer. I studied commercial art & illustration, earning my BA at The American College for the Applied Arts, Atlanta, Georgia in 1986.
After addiction took center stage in my family, I moved from one extreme to the other; from the meticulous rendering of illustration to throwing handfuls of fingerpaint onto large pieces of primed canvas. Therapy, plain and simple.
My fingerpaintings are rich in color and move the eye; their abstract beauty is calming and healing. They would be ideal in health facilities, hotels, businesses and private residences.
My work can be found on my website kitcaseystudio.com, and at Expressions, an artisans cooperative in Scituate, MA.
