I am a New York city-based artist, originally from France.
My process of art making has always be driven to tell a story. As a mixed media artist I work with fluid acrylics and embellish the images with beads, embroidery threads….
Some of my work is figurative, based on portraits of women that translate stories connected to feminine power and status.
My newest series is influenced by the motifs of Kuba dance skirt textiles. Lines, colors, materials mingle, fusing into a new language.
I received a Masters of Fine Art from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris and a Masters in Ethno-aesthetic, majoring in African Art from La Sorbonne University.
I have created commissions for hospitals, hotels, the DFW Airport ... My latest Public Art project was designing 32 panels for MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority). The stainless steel panels will be installed in 2 Brooklyn Metro stations in February 2017.
